Flowmore captive Foundry is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to producing high-quality, large-scale pumps and components. It integrates advanced melting, casting, and heat treatment technologies to ensure durability, precision, and performance. Heres a summary of the key areas of the facility:
- SMS features four induction crucibles (8,000 kilograms, 3,000 kilograms, 1,000 kilograms, 500 kilograms), powered by 600 kilowatts SCR panel and 1,500
kilowatts IGBT panel.
- They use energy-efficient 6 and 12 pulse monotrack systems, with 2 air pollution control systems in place ensuring a clean working environment.
- Includes Wesman tilting furnaces (500 kilograms, 300 kilograms) for bronze castings, both gas-fired
- A custom-built 3,000 kilograms Flowmore Aluminum Esclaner Furnace for non-ferrous alloy production.
- Equipped with sand reclamation (5 tonnes per hour) and fresh sand drying (3 tonnes per hour) facilities.
- Continuous and bowl sand mixers with 20 and 5 tonnes per hour capacity for no-bake processes.
- The Bogie Hearth furnace (5.0x4.5x2.2 metres) operates at 300°C to 1,100°C for processes like normalizing, annealing, quenching, tempering, and stress
relieving.
- Equipped for casting refinement using shot and grit blasting, gouging machines, and grinders for surface finishing.
- 8 cranes are available, with capacities ranging from 10 tonnes to 25 tonnes, spread across the melting and fettling areas.
- Specializes in a variety of material grades.
